Where will Cam Newton land this offseason?

Keep in mind, this article was written on June 17, almost a month before Newton signed a 1-yr deal with the Patriots.

After the Panthers signed Teddy Bridgewater to a 3 year/$63 million contract on March 17th, they basically left Cam out to dry. Exactly a week later, the Panthers released him after requesting a trade.

Over the last few months, Cam has been putting some work in to be in good enough shape for a team to snag him. He recently worked out with one of the best receivers in the NFL the last couple of years, Odell Beckham Jr.

Also, because he is released, NFL writers across the country have been throwing around different teams that Cam should get signed to. Some teams include the Redskins, Patriots, Chargers and Jaguars. However, I don’t think any of these teams will sign Cam.

The team who I think will sign Cam Newton is… the Denver Broncos

I know, sounds weird, right. Cam in freezing cold Denver, Colorado sounds confusing. Let me explain why.

The Broncos just signed a Top 5 running back, in my opinion, in Melvin Gordon to a 2 year/ $16 million contract. In addition, they drafted 2 fantastic weapons at the wideout spot in Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler. Most QB’s would kill for those weapons (besides CeeDee Lamb going to my Cowboys). He will also be able to mentor Drew Lock into the great quarterback that he can become a few years down the line.

There, I rest my case. Oh, and one more thing, Cam would look super clean in a orange Broncos jersey.
